Cynthia Hauer has worked in both the CM and DM disciplines for 27 years, and has been a member of ACDM since 1992. Her association with ACDM began in the local Huntsville, Alabama, area in the early 1990s - as a member of the North Alabama Chapter, a group which exists today as the ACDM Interest Group. She has served in various positions in the local and the national ACDM organizations - starting out as the ACDM Secretary and, most recently, as the DM Chair for ACDM for several consecutive terms of service. She has chaired several ACDM conferences, and has worked to develop the concept of the Regional Symposia as a way to reach out to local areas and extend ACDM to prospective members.
Cynthia's focus for her tenure as President of ACDM has been focused on strategic growth challenges, augmenting ACDM's membership, and expanding ACDM's influence in - and service to - the practitioner community. She also wants to continue to address ways to leverage ACDM's charter opportunities to expand the organization, ensure that the disciplines of CM and DM continue to gain momentum and respect as value-added adjuncts to the business process, and leverage the collective expertise of the membership to profoundly influence the future course for CM and DM advocates.
