Vice President of Services:
Steve Konieczka
Steve, along with others
at SCM Labs drives the latest practical thinking around effective
implementations of CM solutions in environments demonstrating
significant resistance - ever hear of that?!?. His background has
primarily been in application development within the telecommunications,
financial and retail industries. Appreciating the challenges to IT
organizations lacking proper CM, Steve joined SCM Labs in February of
1998 and has never looked back. In other areas of his life, Steve spends
time flying, coaching soccer for his two daughters, participating in
local Junior Achievement activities and is an active member of Young

working Software CM on the Blackhawk upgrade programs. Sikorsky will be
assessed for SEI level four next year. He is also Air Force retired, L-M
retired, CM-II certified and was part of the working group which wrote

Data Management Chair:
Cynthia Hauer
That sentence pretty much sums
up Cindy Hauer's career - which has been mainly focused on Data
Management. Many times, it has seemed that her challenges have
been squarely in the ballpark of that which cannot be easily done.
Fortunately, it's just the stimulation that she's needed to stay in the
game.
Cynthia C. Hauer
has a BS in Computer Science and 21 years experience in the application
of information technology to large-scale government and industry
projects. She holds certifications in configuration and data management
from both the Institute of Configuration Management and the
National Defense Industrial Association. Cynthia is also pursuing
certification in the records management discipline, as well as
certification in the contracts field. Ms. Hauer is the current Data
Management Chair for the Association for Configuration and Data
Management, and is also the Industry Data Management Chair for the
NDIA Technical Information Division. She has authored and presented over
50 technical papers on configuration and data management over the past
twelve years. A practicing Configuration Management and Data Management
professional, Ms. Hauer is now president and chief executive officer for
Millennium Data Management, as well, in Huntsville, Alabama – a small,
woman-owned business. MDM was founded in 1999 to provide high-end Data
Management services, consulting, strategic asset planning, and solutions
development. MDM currently provides consulting and training services to
an international client base, from very small organizations to Fortune
500 firms, across a broad spectrum of data applications in Europe and
the Pacific Rim. Ms. Hauer has a special interest in intellectual
property contracting issues, and how the area of intellectual property
continues to impact the ability of Data Management policy and practice
in building trading partner and contracting relationships with high
technology firms. Her work is in the policy and guidance end of Data
Management, as well as the application and implementation areas of both
CM and DM. Presently, Ms. Hauer is leading a team of industry and
government professionals in the development of a new industry consensus
data management standard, GEIA-Standard-859, currently in balloting (as
of December 2003) and slated for release to the public for use in early
2004. In the early part of 2004, GEIA-859 is scheduled for American
National Standards Institute (ANSI) status, as well.
